January 15, 2014 - As you may have heard through recent news reports, Target reported that it suffered a security breach that involved data related to credit and debit card transactions at Target stores occurring from November 27, 2013 through December 15, 2013. This data was compromised through no fault of yours or Sun National Bank.
Our customers who used a Sun National Bank debit card during this time will be receiving a new Sun National Bank debit card as a precaution. Please note that we will close your current debit card on Thursday, January 23, 2014, and we encourage you to activate your new card as soon as you receive it.
Sun National Bank is committed to protecting your personal account information. We suggest you keep a close eye for any suspicious or unauthorized activity involving your Sun National Bank debit card that you used while shopping during that time. You can do this by reviewing your accounts online and your monthly statement.
If you suspect fraudulent activity on an account, you should contact Sun National Bank immediately at 800.786.9066, or visit your local branch.
With the ever-growing number of phishing email, text and telephone scams, we also want to remind you that Sun National Bank will never ask you to provide your user name, password, social security number, account number, Personal Identification Numbers, credit or debit/ATM card information through an unsolicited email, text or telephone request.
